Read Hebrews 11:23-28

Pray: Almighty God, remind me that you love my kids more than I do. Help me to have faith as a parent and help me to lean into your good plan for their lives.

Hear:

A pastor I go to for advice likes to remind me that God loves my girls more than I do. And I just don’t like that very much.

I think I don’t like that because I like to feel as if I am the one in charge of making sure that my girls are well taken care of and happy. If God loves them more than I do, then how can I be in charge of making them joyous and protected?

Our passage today reminds us that the kind of Providence and protection given to Moses is transferred to our families as well. Being a parent is like taking a part of your soul out of your body and watching it walk around-- know that our God is looking out for that part of your Soul.

Respond:

How can I trust God in the life of my children?

Meditation:

God loves them more.
